I never thought of doing this post because I assumed that everyone knows how to make rice. Then a newbie in the kitchen asked me how do I prepare such lovely, fluffy rice because hers always turned out mushy. That’s when I felt for all of you new in the kitchen battling with the same question. And here is the answer to your rice-y woes. Have fun!
Add salt in water and bring it to a boil, add the rice and reduce the flame to medium.
When the rice is al dente, drain the water and spoon melted ghee on top of it. Put the rice in another large pan, with a thick base, cover it with the lid, and put it on very low flame for 7-10 mins till the rice is done.
Fluff it with two forks without mushing them. It is now ready to serve or use it for making Lemon Rice.
